Parque de la Florida

A formal 19th-century park laid out in 1820, with a bandstand, a duck pond, mature plane trees, and tidy gravel paths. It sits at the southern edge of the old city and is the first link in the Anillo Verde, the green belt that surrounds Vitoria.

Locals come for the playgrounds, the dog walks, and the open-air concerts on summer Sundays. The Museum of Fine Arts is on its south side and the New Cathedral on its north — it makes a natural midpoint between the two.
