The Centro Comercial Cita is the second of the two large shopping centres in Playa del Inglés, sitting on Avenida de Italia a short walk north of the Yumbo Centrum. It has a more mixed restaurant offer than the Yumbo, with options ranging from standard resort fare to a few places that make a genuine effort: there is a decent Indian restaurant, a Spanish steakhouse that serves local Canarian beef, and a Chinese restaurant popular with residents rather than tourists.
The complex operates entirely differently from the Yumbo — it is primarily a daytime and early-evening destination, with most restaurants closing before midnight. The covered layout makes it comfortable in the middle of the day when the sun is strong, and the supermarket on the ground floor is useful for self-catering. The restaurant terrace area on the upper floor catches an evening breeze and is a better option than eating on the street if you want a sit-down meal without committing to one of the hotel buffets.
