Zamora is easily reached by bus from Salamanca (less than an hour) and by train from Madrid (around two hours on the direct Avant service) and from Valladolid. The bus station and train station are both on the south side of the city, about a 15-minute walk from the old town.
There is no airport at Zamora; the nearest airports are at Salamanca (small, limited flights), Valladolid, or Madrid Barajas. By car, the city is on the A-66/E-803 motorway (the former Silver Road route, now a modern highway) which runs north-south through western Castile, connecting Gijón to Seville.
