Fuente de las Ranas

The "Fountain of the Frogs" sits at the centre of a small leafy square on Calle Mayor, north of the cathedral. A 19th-century cast-iron fountain — the basin perched with four bronze frogs spitting water — it is the most beloved bit of street furniture in the city centre and the unofficial meeting-point of central Albacete.

The square around it has been pedestrianised and the cafés have spread their tables out. A five-minute pause for a coffee and a frog-watch is the lowest-effort sight in Albacete.
