Things to Do

Albacete is a working provincial capital rather than a tourist town, but the centre rewards an unhurried half-day. The main square — Plaza del Altozano — and the pedestrianised Calle Ancha hold most of the architecture; the Museum of Albacete in Parque Abelardo Sánchez is excellent and free; and the knife museum is one of the most peculiar single-subject collections in Spain.
