Figueres's Rambla is a broad pedestrianised boulevard lined with plane trees, cafes, and market stalls — a smaller, quieter version of the famous Barcelona promenade. The local market takes place here several days a week, and the central terrace cafes are where the town eats breakfast and drinks after dinner.
The Rambla connects the old town to the Dalí museum and passes the Museu de l'Empordà. It is the natural anchor of any walk through Figueres, and worth a stroll early in the morning before the day-trip crowds arrive.
