Figueres is dominated by the Dalí Theatre-Museum, which alone justifies the journey from almost anywhere in Catalonia. Beyond Dalí, the town has Sant Ferran Castle — one of the largest fortresses in Europe — and a handful of smaller museums worth an afternoon's exploration.
