Parc de la Devesa is Girona's great green pause, nearly 40 hectares of paths and tall plane trees set between the Ter, Güell, and Onyar rivers. After the close stone lanes of the old town, the scale feels generous: long straight walks, high shade, and enough room for markets, fairs, and ordinary city life to spread out.
It is not a manicured show garden, and that is part of its appeal. Come for a morning walk, a breather after the cathedral and walls, or the market if your timing lines up. In hot weather the tree canopy is one of the most useful pieces of urban planning in Girona.
