Beaches

Sitges has seventeen beaches stretching nearly five kilometres along the coast, from the protected northern coves to the long open stretches south of the town.

The town beaches — Platja de la Ribera and Platja de Sant Sebastià — are the busiest and most central, with full facilities and a steady turnover of food along the promenade. South of the centre, Platja de la Bassa Rodona is the traditional LGBTQ+ meeting beach. Beyond the marina, the long Platja de la Barra and Platja de l'Estanyol are quieter; Platja dels Balmins is the official nudist beach and a long-standing LGBTQ+ favourite. South again, the wilder Cala Morisca and the cliffs of Garraf give wave-cut coves backed by the white limestone hills.

All beaches are free, lifeguard-patrolled in summer, and easy to walk between along the seafront.
