On the north side of the Sant Bartomeu headland, away from the main tourist front, Platja de Sant Sebastià is the locals' beach — shorter, slightly more sheltered, and traditionally favoured by Sitges families. The seafront here is quieter, with a row of low-rise houses backing directly onto the sand and a chapel of the same name at the far end.
The water is calm and shallow, the sand fine. In high season it fills up but never to the density of the Ribera. A pleasant choice if you want to stay within walking distance of the old town but escape the main resort crowd.
