Yayo Daporta

Michelin-starred Galician cooking with exceptional local seafood and a serious Albariño wine list

Yayo Daporta is the best restaurant in Cambados and one of the most respected addresses on the Rías Baixas coast. Chef Yayo Daporta has held a Michelin star for years, cooking refined Galician food that takes the region's extraordinary raw ingredients seriously without drowning them in technique. The menu changes with the season and the catch, but expect the local shellfish — zamburiñas, percebes, navajas — to appear in one form or another, alongside carefully chosen Albariño pairings from the surrounding vineyards.

The dining room is understated in the way that genuinely confident restaurants tend to be: no theatrical presentation, no unnecessary ceremony. You are there for the food, and the food is the point. Booking is essential, particularly in summer. If the tasting menu feels like too much of a commitment, the restaurant sometimes offers a shorter lunch format — worth checking when you reserve.
