Eating Out

Redondela is quietly famous for its chocos — small cuttlefish fished from the ría — and has its own gastronomy festival dedicated to them each spring. The local bar-restaurants along the main street and around the old town square serve them fried, grilled, or in rice dishes. Galician seafood standards (pulpo, percebes, mussels) are excellent here given the town's position on the ría. Prices are noticeably lower than in nearby Vigo.
