A traditional Galician family restaurant in the old town of Verín, with a dining room of dark wood and stone walls and a kitchen built around a wood-fired grill. Grilled meats are the speciality — solomillo, chuletón, and seasonal game (wild boar, venison) when the local hunting season is on. The fish, brought in from the Atlantic coast, is also reliable, and the rice with seafood is a regular Friday dish.
Wines are local Monterrei DO, with a fair selection of Godello and Mencía by the glass. Mid-priced for the quality, and one of the better non-festival places to eat in town. Reservations advised at weekends; closed Sunday evenings.
