Calpe's Lonja de Pescado is the fish market and auction hall at the port, a reminder that the town is not only beaches, towers, and apartment blocks under the Penyal d'Ifac. The building is functional, but the activity around it gives the harbour its working pulse.
Come late in the day when fishing boats return and the port is at its most animated. Even if you do not watch the auction, the lonja area pairs well with a seafood meal and a walk along the harbour edge.
