Helsingborg's sights cluster around the harbour and the ridge above it. The medieval keep of Kärnan is the unmissable centrepiece, but the waterfront cultural buildings, the main square, and the palace gardens to the north each reward their own visit. The compact centre is small enough to cover on foot in a day, with Denmark visible across the strait the entire time.
