The county museum of Blekinge occupies a handsome 18th-century house at Fisktorget, a short walk from the main square. Its permanent collection covers the history of the region from prehistory through the naval era to the present, with particular strength in local crafts and folk culture. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on regional art and history, and the courtyard garden is worth a visit in summer.
