Kinda Canal

Historic canal route linking Linkoping with southern lakes

Kinda Canal gives Linkoping a slower waterside excursion, running south from the city through locks, lakes, and wooded countryside. It is less internationally known than the Gota Canal, but it has the same appeal on a smaller scale: boats moving through locks, quiet shorelines, and a route that changes the pace of a city visit.

The canal is best approached as a seasonal boat trip, cycling route, or waterside walk rather than a single pinned monument. If schedules line up, a short cruise is the easiest way to understand why the waterway matters.
