Malmo is exceptionally well connected for a city its size. The Oresund Bridge links it directly to Copenhagen by both road and rail, with trains running every 20 minutes and taking about 35 minutes. Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) is the nearest major airport, just one stop across the bridge. From there, trains run directly to Malmo Central Station.
Domestic trains connect Malmo to Stockholm in around four and a half hours and to Gothenburg in about three. Regional trains and buses operated by Skanetrafiken cover the rest of the Skane region cheaply and efficiently. Drivers arriving via the Oresund Bridge pay a toll, but the E6 motorway runs straight through the city connecting it to the rest of Sweden.
