The northernmost of the four Sälen ski areas, joined by lift to Tandådalen. Hundfjället is the family resort par excellence — wide forest slopes, big ski school, and the "Trolltallen" area with carved wooden trolls along a gentle marked run for small children.
Higher up the mountain are some of Sälen's steepest pistes and an extensive off-piste area on the north face that opens up after a fresh snowfall.
