Adolf Fredrik's Church is an 18th-century church just off Drottninggatan, named for King Adolf Fredrik and built between 1768 and 1774. The exterior has kept much of its original character, while the interior was heavily reworked in the late 19th century.
The church is also known for its memorials and graves. René Descartes was first buried here before his remains were moved to France, and Swedish prime minister Olof Palme is buried in the churchyard.
