Klara Church

Klara Church is a red-brick survivor in central Norrmalm, a district heavily rebuilt in the 20th century. The church dates from the 16th century, though later fires and restorations have shaped what you see today.

Its 116-metre spire is one of Stockholm's sharpest skyline markers and among the tallest church towers in Scandinavia. Step in if you are nearby on Drottninggatan; the contrast with the surrounding office blocks is the point.
