Madrisa is the secondary ski area above Klosters, rising from the Dorf quarter of the village into the mountains on the eastern side of the valley. Where the Gotschna side connects into the large Davos–Parsenn network, Madrisa is a more self-contained area with a calmer character, favoured by families with young children and those looking to avoid the busier runs of the main mountain.
The cable car system gives quick access to slopes above 2,000 metres, and on clear days the views extend south to the Silvretta peaks. In summer, Madrisa is the starting point for hikes into the Schlappin valley, a quiet side valley that leads toward the Austrian border through farmland and forest. The Madrisa Land amusement area at the top of the gondola operates in summer, with children's activities including a toboggan run and rope courses.
