Montreux's best things to do are spread along the lakefront and up into the hillside villages above the town. The lakefront promenade is the spine of everything — Chillon is 3km south, the Freddie Mercury statue and Mountain Studios are central, and the funicular to Glion starts from the Territet neighbourhood just south. Allow a full day for the castle and the promenade; the Rochers de Naye excursion is a separate day.
