St. Moritz itself is compact enough to walk, though the distinction between St. Moritz Dorf (the main resort) and St. Moritz Bad (the spa village at the lake's southern end) means a twenty-minute walk between the two centres. Free buses run frequently between them and continue to Celerina and Samedan.
The ski areas — Corviglia, Corvatsch, and Diavolezza — are connected by ski lifts within the main domain, but Diavolezza requires a train or bus to the Bernina valley. The Engadin Star ski pass covers all three areas. Taxis are expensive; most visitors without a car use the local bus network, which is included in many hotel card schemes.
