Pripyat is not a place you wander — your guide chooses the route and decides where it is safe to step. Most tours stay for around three hours, looping through the central square, the cultural palace, the amusement park, the swimming pool, the hospital, and a few of the apartment blocks. The order changes from year to year as buildings collapse or fall outside the survey zone.
