A long-standing cafe on the edge of Teatralna Square, a good place to sit and watch the square's fountains and foot traffic over coffee and a cake. The Sovietera interior — marble-topped tables, chrome fittings, glass pastry cases — had survived more or less intact and gave it a period character that newer cafes lacked. Served strong coffee, tea in glasses, and a selection of Ukrainian pastries. Busy on summer evenings when the square came alive.
