A long, narrow park strung along the high right bank of the Dnieper, just east of Khreshchatyk. The 1980s Soviet People's Friendship Arch — a 50-metre titanium rainbow that was rebranded in 2018 as the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People — is its main monument.
The park is the easiest place in central Kyiv to find a bench with a view: the Dnieper, Trukhaniv Island, and the green left bank stretching to the horizon. The pedestrian glass bridge to Volodymyrska Hill, opened in 2019, makes a small architectural addition.
