Mezhyhirya Residence

Mezhyhirya Residence is the former private estate of Viktor Yanukovych, opened to the public after he fled Ukraine in 2014. The grounds are now visited as a park and museum of political excess, with landscaped gardens, river views, and displays tied to the country's recent history.

It sits north of central Kyiv and takes more effort than an inner-city museum, but it is a memorable stop for travellers interested in modern Ukraine, corruption, and the events around the Maidan Revolution.
