Odesa Philharmonic occupies one of the city's great historic performance buildings, a richly decorated former stock exchange near the centre. Its Moorish and Venetian Gothic details make it worth noticing even if you are only passing on a walk between the Opera House and the museums.
The best reason to come is still a concert. The hall gives Odesa's classical music scene a setting with real atmosphere, and it makes a good evening choice when the Opera House programme does not fit your plans.
