Derby sits on the Midland Main Line, with fast trains to London St Pancras in around 90 minutes and regular services to Sheffield, Leeds, and Nottingham. East Midlands Parkway station, a few miles south, connects to East Midlands Airport with a short taxi or bus ride. The city is also well positioned on the M1 motorway — Junction 25 is the main exit — making it easy to reach by car from most of England.
