King Street is one of central Bristol's best short historic walks, running between the old city and the harbourside. It was once tied to the Welsh Back docks, where sailing trows arrived from South Wales, and much of the street still keeps its older scale.
Today the draw is the mix of theatre, pubs, and surviving mercantile architecture. Bristol Old Vic and the Llandoger Trow make the street worth seeking out, especially if you are already moving between the centre and the harbour.
