Studland Beach is one of the Isle of Purbeck's classic coastal stops, stretching along sandy shore and dunes north of Swanage. Its sheltered bay, heathland backdrop, and views toward Old Harry Rocks make it more than a simple local bathing beach.
It is best visited as part of a wider Swanage and Purbeck coast itinerary, with walking links to the South West Coast Path and nearby nature reserves. Summer crowds can be heavy, but the landscape has enough scale to reward visits outside peak beach weather too.
