Swanage divides naturally into a town day and a coast day. In town: the Victorian pier, the small Heritage Centre, St Mary's Church, and the long Edwardian seafront. Out of town: the clifftop walk to Old Harry Rocks, the steam train to Corfe Castle, and Durlston Country Park with the Great Globe at its centre. Add a half-day on the South West Coast Path south to Anvil Point and Tilly Whim Caves and a long weekend fills itself.
