St Nicholas Park

Riverside park beneath the castle walls, popular for picnics and rowing

St Nicholas Park stretches along the north bank of the Avon below the castle. The setting is the appeal: the castle towers rise behind the trees, swans drift on the river, and on a fine summer Sunday it is filled with picnicking families, dog-walkers, and people learning to scull at the Warwick Boat Club.

There is a children's play area, a paddling pool in summer, a small skate park, and the start of a pleasant riverside walk that runs all the way out towards Leamington. Free, open during daylight hours.
