Things to Do

Derry's historic core is compact and walkable. The city walls form a loop that takes about an hour to walk, and most of the major sights are within or just outside them. The Bogside, below the western wall, is the neighbourhood most associated with the Troubles and holds some of the most powerful public art in Ireland. The Peace Bridge across the Foyle represents the newer Derry — confident, connected, and reaching across old divisions.
