Macduff's attractions cluster around the working harbour and the rugged coastline either side of it. The Marine Aquarium is the obvious stop, and boat trips out to Troup Head and Findlater Castle show off the Moray Firth coast at its best. For something stranger, climb Doune Hill to the Temple of Venus, or walk east to the haunting ruins of Tarlair pool.
