Little Harbour is a tiny, almost perfectly circular anchorage at the southern end of Great Abaco, ringed by limestone cliffs and accessible by road from Marsh Harbour (about 45 minutes south) or by boat. The harbour is one of the most sheltered in the Bahamas and has long been a favoured bolt-hole for cruising sailors.
On the western shore, Pete's Pub has been serving cold Kaliks (the Bahamian beer) from an open-air beach shack for decades — it's one of those places that has somehow become a Caribbean institution without trying to. Opposite, the Johnston family foundry casts bronze sculpture that is shown in galleries internationally. A short walk across the narrow island leads to a rocky Atlantic shore with sea caves, scattered sea glass, and almost no one around.
