Radio Beach (sometimes called Blister Beach) is the long west-facing strip of sand along the ocean side of Alice Town. The water is the textbook Bahamian shade of turquoise, the swimming is easy, and a couple of beach bars at the south end serve cold drinks all afternoon.
It is rarely crowded outside the high-season weekends, and is the easiest swim in Bimini if you are based in Alice Town and don't want to take a boat anywhere. The sunsets — the beach faces directly west toward Miami — are reliably good.
