The Bahamian high season runs from December to April, when the weather is dry, sunny and a comfortable 24–28°C. This is also the peak of the sportfishing calendar — the major Bimini marlin tournaments are in March and April. May and November are quieter shoulder seasons with similar temperatures.
Summer (June to October) is hot and humid, with afternoon thunderstorms common, and the official hurricane season runs from June through November with peak risk in late August and September. Many of the smaller hotels and dive operations close for some part of this period.
