The point of Bimini is the water. The islands themselves are flat, narrow, and quickly explored — what keeps people coming back is what lies offshore. Big-game fishing for marlin and tuna, drift-diving with reef sharks, snorkelling over the Bimini Road and through the SS Sapona wreck, and swimming with wild Atlantic spotted dolphins are the highlights. On land, Alice Town has a few historic spots tied to Hemingway and Prohibition, and the Dolphin House folk-art museum is one of the more idiosyncratic small museums in the Bahamas.
