Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts

The country's main venue for theatre, music, and cultural events

The Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts is the main cultural venue in Belize City, built with funds from the estate of Henry Bliss, the eccentric English nobleman whose bequest transformed Belizean public life in the early 20th century. It hosts theatre performances, concerts, dance events, and cultural festivals throughout the year.

The building sits on the seafront near the Marine Parade. If you're in Belize City for more than a night, it's worth checking what's on — the National Dance Company of Belize and various local theatre groups perform here regularly. Entry prices are affordable by any standard. The building also houses the National Institute of Culture and History.
