The Aberdeen Cultural Centre occupies an imposing 1898 sandstone schoolhouse in central Moncton that was saved from demolition in the 1980s and converted into an arts hub. Inside is a clutch of galleries, artist studios, and the Galerie Sans Nom, an artist-run contemporary art space that is the most consistently interesting exhibition venue in the city.
Free admission, with rotating shows year-round. Worth a stop for anyone interested in contemporary art in Atlantic Canada, and an easy combined visit with a downtown wander.
