Parlee Beach

Warm-water provincial park beach on the Northumberland Strait

Parlee Beach is one of southeastern New Brunswick's busiest summer beaches, a long sandy strand on the Northumberland Strait near Shediac. The water here is notably warmer than on much of the Atlantic coast, which explains the crowds on hot weekends.

From Moncton it works as an easy beach day, especially for travelers without time to push farther along the Acadian coast. Expect a developed provincial-park setup rather than solitude: parking, supervised swimming in season, changing facilities, and plenty of nearby food stands.
