The Avenir Centre is the city's main indoor arena, opened in 2018 and replacing the much older Moncton Coliseum out by Magnetic Hill. It seats around 8,800 for concerts and 7,500 for hockey, and is home to the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League — the best ticket in town if you happen to be visiting in season.
The arena anchors a stretch of downtown that has filled with new bars and restaurants since the building opened. Check the schedule before a visit; touring acts pass through regularly.
