Victoria Park

Small downtown park with bandstand, summer concerts, and a cenotaph

Victoria Park is a small green square just west of downtown Moncton, ringed by older Victorian and Edwardian houses. The central bandstand hosts free outdoor concerts on summer evenings; in winter there is a small skating rink. The First World War cenotaph at one end is the focus of the city's Remembrance Day services.

A pleasant short walk from the downtown core and a good place to sit between sights. The neighbourhood streets around the park have some of the city's nicest older architecture.
