The usual gateways are Pangnirtung and Qikiqtarjuaq, both reached by scheduled flights within Nunavut. From the communities, travellers arrange boat, snowmobile, or other local transport to park access points depending on season and conditions.
Parks Canada requires registration and orientation for backcountry users. Build extra days into the plan; flights, sea ice, wind, and river levels can all change the schedule.
