A 270-hectare conservation area on the south shore of Sturgeon Lake, north of Lindsay. The trail network — twelve kilometres of paths and boardwalks — winds through mixed hardwood forest, marsh, and meadow, with viewing platforms over the wetland for birdwatchers.
The marsh is the highlight: in May and September the area is one of the better-known waterfowl stopovers in central Ontario, with great blue heron, ospreys, and (with luck) bald eagles regularly seen. The conservation area is free to enter; parking is small, so come early on summer weekends.
