Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is Kingston's easy-access outdoor classroom: marshes, woods, reservoir views and a network of gentle trails just north of the city. It is good in several seasons, from spring birding and autumn colour to winter skating when conditions allow.
The conservation area is not wild backcountry, and that is the point. It gives families, walkers and cyclists a simple way to get into Frontenac County's landscape without a long drive or specialist gear.
