Housed in a former shipyard on the waterfront, this museum tells the story of Great Lakes shipping from the age of sail through the industrial era. The star exhibit is the Alexander Henry, a retired Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker moored alongside that visitors can tour and — in summer — sleep aboard as a floating bed and breakfast. The museum is small but well-curated, and the waterfront location adds to the atmosphere.
