Theatre complex in a converted tank house, home to Soulpepper

Address 50 Tank House Lane, Distillery District

The cultural anchor of the Distillery District, built inside the old tank house where whisky was once aged. The brick-and-timber industrial shell was converted into a flexible complex of theatres, studios, and a café-bar that keeps much of the original structure on show.

It is the home of the Soulpepper Theatre Company, one of Canada's leading repertory companies, and of the George Brown College theatre school. The programming runs from classic drama and new Canadian work to concerts and cabaret, and the atmospheric setting makes it a fine place to see a show even when you do not know the play.
